I went to LDS today. They have 2 of the Mecklenburg microfilms. # 69736
Evangelical Churchbook - Feldberg, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany and # 69738
also of same area.
I went through the beginning half slowly and jotted down all of the Bentzins
I could find ( a lot!) I didn't find any Darbe's. At the end of the roll, I
did find 3 Darbe men. One being my 2nd great grandfather another his brother
and the last, probably a cousin.
I guess my question's would be:
1. Did everyone have to belong to a church back then?
2. Were there other area church's they could belong to if they lived in
Carwitz? (I know the film pertains to Feldberg, Carwitz etc.)
3. Are there any other town (Carwitz) records that are available to view
on microfilm?

You didn't mention film# 069737 which also covers Carwitz. Merlin
