Dear searchers in the hannover-list,
for a friend I`m searching for Sophia (Sophie) Catharina Bammann.
She is born 28. Aug. 1875 in Sittensen, Northgermany.
She married 1897 in Bremerhaven- Lehe
Mr. Johann Duncker (or Dunker), unknown dates.
She immigrated with here husband about 1900 to USA.
The first daughter of them was Elfriede Duncker
married with Hermann ....
Children of Elfriede and Hermann are Nancy and Deane born after 1897. Hermann .... was a master baker.
The second daughter of them was Wilma, also born after 1897
The address until 1968 was 608 3. Ave Dr.)
East Northport
Long Island, New York
Then the residence of them perhaps was in 11510 New Baldwin, Nassau, New York.
Can anyone help me ?
Greetings from germanyBernhard
Bernard -
Could Elfriede's husband have been Herman Rupprecht? On the 1930 census of Brooklyn, New York there is a baker named Herman Rupprecht age 41 born in Germany emigrated 1913. His wife is Frieda age 34 born Germany and emigrated 1912. Their children are Alice and Herbert which does not sound like Nancy and Deane. Herman died February 1972 living in Farmingdale,Nassau County.
I will keep searching.

Yes, Bernhard, Herman Rupprecht is husband of Elfriede. On his 1925 naturalization petition he states he is married to Frieda who was born 13 March 1896 in Bremerhaven. His children are Alice and Herbert. Perhaps Nancy and Deane were born after the 1930 census. Or, maybe, children of Wilma.
There is a telephone listing for Herbert Rupprecht, 35 Parkdale Drive, Farmingdale NY 11735. Telephone 516 249 9428.
