Cinnamon cake

HI;
MY GRANDMOTHER CAME FROM SOMEWHERE IN EAST PRUSSIA
IN 1875. SHE HAD A RECIPE FOR
CINNAMON CAKE, THAT ALL HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN
LOVED, IT WAS ONE LAYER HIGH,
THE INSIDE TASTED BETWEEN A
HOT MILK CAKE AND A BREAD. THE TOP WAS COVERED WITH CINNAMON, BUT WHEN SHE CUT A PEICE IT WOULD MAKE A CRUNCH
SOUND. SOMETIMES SHE WOULD SERVE IT COVER WITH MILK. IF ANYONE HAS THAT RECIPE, WOULD YOU PLEASE SHARE WHAT THE INGREDENTS WAS. IT SOUNDS
DELICIOUS. I WONDER IF THIS IS A
GERMAN RECIPE?
