"Lunkenheimer, the one great name in Valves" That was the motto of the
Lunkenheimer Valve Company of Cincinnati. Several years ago 'The Queen City
Heritage," which was the official publication of the Cincinnati Historical
Society published an article on the Lunkenheimer family and the development
of the company in Cincinnati.` I have the publication at home but at present
can't locate it. The article may even mention the Lunkenheimer ancestral home
in Germany If any Lunkenheimers are interested, they might contact the
Cincinnati Historical Society to obtain the reference. I'm not sure, but the
company might be out of business.
