Hello Claudia,
I looked at the well known Celle in Lower Saxony, near Hannover for you, here is the town's
website:
http://www.celle.de/index.phtml?La=2&object=tx|8\.1
On the top left hand side there is a little flag to click for English or German.
Celle in Niedersachsen has an old part of the town called BLUMLAGE, therefore I assume the
name of the church is not Blumage, but the place where this church is situated, and it would
then be St. Georg in Celle-Blumlage - website here:
http://www.evlka.de/extern/celle/blumlage/
This site is not available in English, but all educated people in Germany speak at least a little
English, unless they are quite old and attended school while the NS Regime was in office.
I copied the responsible person from the Impressum (always a reliable place to look at on a
website), and this is a clergyman (of course)
Pastor Burkhard Schulze
Braunschweiger Heerstr. 1
29221 Celle
Telefon: 05141/23265 Telefax: 214701
E-Mail : KG.Celle-Blumlage@evlka.de
(The KG. in this address will stand for Kirchen Gemeinde = Church Community)
Why not be bold, and just write to them with your questions, and I have the feeling you could
well be successful.
I found out that the Church that my Grandmother Anna BARTELS Schridde
was Baptized in Celle. The Church name is Blumage. Are the records
for this church on the LDS website, I tried to search the LDS site but
could not find them listed.

The word Blumage I only know as Blumaschen Kohl, a certain kind of cabbage which originally
must have come from France (perhaps with the Napoleonic occupation army) as cabbage is
Pluemage in French
Hope this brings you a small step forward - or even a leap?
Wishing you well, kind regards
Ingrid
