Does anyone know if any of the churches and civil books have been translated from old German Handwriting to spreadsheet (MS-EXCEL or LIBE OFFICE)? If so,which church and civil books have been translated? Where are they located and what does it cost to receive copies? I will list the Kreis in Hannover, Neustadt am Rubenberge before WW I I would appreciate any help that you can give.
Thanks!! Wilber Bandemer South Texas USA
Hello Wilber,
The church books of Neustadt am Ruebenberge are online via ARCHION (you have to register and pay a fee for at least one month - Euro 19,90) from 1680-1875. There are no transcriptions into modern writing. For information after 1875 you have to contact the Standesamt/registry office and if you are a direct descendant you can get copies there, nothing online I'm afraid. The costs involved depend on the documents you need.
If you need further help, please contact me.
Kind regards,
Christiane (Feder)
Hello Wilber,
I live in Neustadt am Ruebenberge and have already explored many families there. Which family name are you looking for? I will sign up for Archion again in March. I can search for you for records .
Kind regards
Monika
