Hi Fred
I read your Hannover submission of Christmas and felt your sadness. I
usually ask my grandchildren, well in advance, to "do something" for
Christmas. I know one granddaughter will play piano. Often a couple of the
grandchildren will have a Christmas poem from school. I make myself think
of something to do to encourage them.
So that reminds me that I must get started myself. When I was 12 years
old, I needed to memorize the Christmas story from Luke and give it to the
congregation on Christmas Eve. As far as I know, this was never done by a
girl before, and maybe after in that church, but there was no boy around
that age in the congregation who was able to memorize that much. So, I was
allowed to do it. Maybe I should try to repeat that this year. Your
description and missing your sister has made me think about doing this.
Now, will my much older brain cooperate with a second learning?
Carol
