Dear Listeners,
To those with any interest in my surnames and the village areas I always post about.
I received the email answer of attachments. This new little tidbit has been my new information to play with. Please bear with me as I search [and play] with my new information.
To some I have already mentioned the hof 30 of Oldendorf and the hof Nr. 2 or three of Sueschendorf. Those were Primarily Reinecke. I have one godfather in a record of a man who came from Sueschendor. I have lots of names from there. Including Meyer. Etc.
Reinecke/Luhmann
But Luhmann records I have are that Anna Maria or Marie Reinecke came from Nahrendorf. I know that is popular name in this area of families of landowners in Borstelman book and other family trees.
GEb.08.10.1791 Nahrendorf
+ 02.1.1867
Vater: Johann Christoph Reinecke Hsw. In Nahrendorf
Mutter: Anna Dorothea Brese/Breese. [seems to be interchangeable spelling for last name and name of a village]
Gevatt: Anna Maria Steckelbergen, [ can that be right] Hawswith in Walmsburg.
Anna Dorothea Luers, Hauswirth in Findorf or Vindorf.[ already I have had mention of Luhrs and Riess with Behrens/Schultzen, Rappaul family of Neetzendorf/Ahndorf/Boitze.
Everyone seems to go back to that area of Boitze and Ahndof.
In her death records another mans name was listed as her husband. The researcher said it was a mistake.? I suspect it was because another Anna Maria Dorothea (meier) widow of Ventschau married that name mentioned Heinrich Christoph Luhmann. Her sons name.
By the way if your ancester had anything to do with Nahrendorf they have two old photos of old generation in a wind horn band and someone in the field with wheat cutters. I could forward it to you. I have no names of individuals though.
Gehrke
Johann Juergen Luhmann's mother was daughter of landowner in Dubbekold. as mentioned before Andreas Gehrke.
His Gevattern 3) Franz Jurgen Gehrke, an landowners son in Dubbekold. Maybe a son or cousin.??
Seil
The name I have mentioned before
Johann Jurgen Seil, Hauswirths son in Oldendorf
Jurgen Ludwig Seil, Brennknecht ?? in Bleckede
Now If it said Heinrich in it I would wonder if it was the family of the daughter at Eichdorf. and I am sure it is. But it also said Bleckede.
Funny thing the tosterglope.de chronicles said that the families firs pick grandparents and parents families for godparents. and that they never marry family members. Even If it is step parents or step brothers or sisters. I reminded my self that as I know back in 1600's one wife of Luhmann was Anna Brese of Nahrendorf. And in iowa a meyer married a Michels. Rickens connecation. Perhaps that may mean My Meyer did not marry into the Michels family of Oldendorf hof 30.
I hate to ask too much of Mr. Bock. I feel I look so greedy. I am of course. [smile]
Now then,
Does anyone have the proper address of the holdings of the DANNENBERG church archives.?
I shall google a bit of course.
Thanks so much for your time space and attention and Patience. Jo Meyer
