We have been looking for the Knagge's family and this filles in the information except that no where does the information for John mention when Chrisytine was born and died. . Gertrude died of diabetes, urimia coma chronic nephritis.
Gertrude's parents are Gerhard Henry Voss and Maria Anna Clute.
She emigrated from Wullen in 1865, boarding the ship Johanne Wilhelmine at Antwerp. She arrived in America 11 December 1865. Her destination was Cincinnati, Ohio, where she married Bernard Hinnenkamp on May 24, 1866. They came to Quincy about 1874. (from Michael Brinkman 2010 book on German immigrants)
They have a brother Heinirch "Henry" would was born in 1854 in Germany. He came to Quincy in 1873 and died in 1881 (just three months after his son and my great grandfather died).
