Dear Listers,
We have a man, his wife and their one year old daughter, Juliana arriving in New York in 1848, but we do not have a Geburtsort in Germany for them. I read the letter regarding the MOORKAMP name and wondered, if these people could have come from Oldenburg. They settled in Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa. The wife was Katholisch, but I think that the man was Protestant.
