I am looking for the home town and family of my g......grandfather who was born 14 May 1744 and died in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 16 July 1826. He was a good friend of the famous Ellrodt family and we believe he was from Ansbach. He was an officer in the Bayreuth (later Ansbach Troops) and fought in the American Revolution. He was given a land grant in Nova Scotia for his services. Any assistance would be appreciated. Bruce Clarke
