Christian Böckler and Emma Möller from Bremen

Greetings,

Thanks for all of your help in locating Achelis family members. This has been very helpful to me.

Since I last wrote to this list, I have found out that my great great grandparents were Christian Böckler, who lived from 1830-1892. His wife was named Emma Emilie Möller, and she lived from 23/2/1832- 5/4/1896. They had at least two children. The older daughter was Emma Böckler (born 1865?) who married John Achelis (about 1874) and moved to Brooklyn Heights, New York. Their second daughter was named "Dory" (Dorothea?) Böckler. She was an opera singer known for her role as Mignon. She married Clarence Whitehill, a famous American Baritone at eth Metropolitan Opera who came to Frankfurt to study Wagner's work. Dory and Clarence were married in NYC in on may 14th, 1902. They had at least one daughter, Emma Alice Whitehill.

I have photographs of Christian and Emma Böckler from 1865-1866 in Bremen. I also have 2 photos of the parents of Emma Emilie Möller Bockler, but I do not know their names.

I have many images of their children, Emma and Dory Böckler, and their children.

I would like to find out more about the Böckler and Möller families in Bremen and share these photos with any descendants.

Thanks

Jake Benson
