Could someone tell me where I could write, in Germany, to obtain the
marriage record and birth records for Charles (Carl) Winkelmann and
Bertha Winhelmina Specht.
We think they came to USA from Barmen based on information in a son's
marriage license. Carl in 1864 and Bertha in 1865. Their census
records state they came from Prussia.
