Hi Barbara, Adele and Bernadette.
First Barbara, the URL you listed didn't all come through.
I often wonder what causes that, I guess some of it was just missing. The last seven characters didn't turn blue???
The URL is that of Jens Mller-Koppe, a professional
genealogist. At the time I contacted him, he had
translated and interperted Amt Achim, Amt Hoya and Amt
Martfeld. Amt Martfeld had seven parts. However,
I do not see Friedland listed as being in any of those
three Amt's. I just checked that URL and did not see Friedland listed.
You might want to contact Jens at edition@hist.de to see if he has more completed or where you might find the information you are looking for.
I know it was a great help for me. I had only this phrase "Anderten Amt. Hoya". I Googled it and got Jen's site. I got a copy of his work and found my GF and family in it, as well as a number of other people who moved to the same town in Iowa. I still have not run across that information anywhere else. Even the emmigration index, which lists most of his family, but at the time, I didn't know who his family was.
I must admit that I had worked at it for 20 years before I got the census report.
