Hello, everyone. I'm new to this list and to genealogy, but I've managed to
trace my g-g-g-grandfather, CASPER KLEIER, back to the Oldenburg vicinity
where he was born February 2, 1828. He emigrated to the U.S. sometime
between 1850 -1854. If anyone happens to have any information on Casper and
the German Kleier clan, (he was Catholic, I believe) or can advise me how to
learn more about him and my ancestors, I and the American Kleiers would be

The Status animarum 1703 shows two Kleyer families in Lüsche, parish Vestrup.
There today still Kleier and Kleyer addresses.
