Carl Johann Heinrich BENTHIEN

I am seeking to verify the parents of Carl Johann Heinrich BENTHIEN. He was
born 1 Feb. 1789 in Granzin, Mecklenburg-Schwerin. I believe that his
parents were Joahnn Daniel BANTIN and Catharina Margaretha LEMMEN, however,
I do not have proof of this. Could someone help me?

Hi Gary,

I have a churchbook entry from the parish Luebow, dtd Nov 22, 1860. Two of the godparents listed are:

Johann BENTHIEN a carpenter and his wife Sophia BENTHIEN both from Redentin.

Redentin is located about 30 miles NNW of Granzin near Wismar.

Any connection?
