My Great Uncle, Carl Heinrich HINTE, was born 11th June 1862 at Stotel, he was baptised there in the Lutheran Church on the 29th of June 1862. The Banns of Marriage were read at that same church on the 2nd, 9th & 16th, January 1883. His FATHER was Claus HINTE, DOB 8th January 1828 & Mother, Gesine Dorothea Meyerhoff, DOB 24th April 1824.
After that event, NOTHING! No prospective brides name could I find in those records? No place of brides residence, no record of that wedding taking place, Just complete silence is all that I can find?
I have attempted to find this missing data by looking at the local areas for around fifteen kilometres, including the local seat of Lockstead for any civil data, all with no success. Hannover does not contribute as well, that I can find? This again in 1999 on my extended visit. Die Maus does not have any additional data than I have contributed in this email.
My own German language skills are very limited. This may have contributed to my lack of information, as at the time of my visit to Stotel & the Church office records in 1999, I was not permitted to photograph those records & had to hand copy the data that I found.
I would be very grateful for any further clues on the life of Carl. I already have the book of families of Stotel & that is not to forthcoming, above what I already have.
