I recently transcribed a ship's passenger list. The captain of the ship was
M. Addicks. The ship was the Brig Sophie. It left Bremen for Baltimore,
Maryland and arrived on 03 June 1846.
Chr. H. Addicks was a captain of the Ship O. Thyen that sailed from Bremen
to New Orleans and arrived on 8 November 1854.
These captains may have been relatives of the Addicks mentioned in
Oldenburg-L Digest, Vol 4, Issue 9.
