Can you help me?

The passenger list you get from the US National Archives in Washington DC.
is a photo copy of the Original record that the Captain of the ship had to
give the Port Authorities.
George in Wisconsin.

Am I correct in assuming these will be on microfilm?
Thanks,

Hello,
Regarding regular passenger lists, you can also order these from LDS
centers--they are on microfilm. The particular book by Bloha and Lembcke on
is also available on Microfiche from the LDS. You can go to Federal Centers
and view film there as well. HOWEVER, there are many lists missing from the
archives. One could presume that the lists for Galveston Texas from 1850
and 1855 that were published by Bloha and Eva Lembcke (which she found in a
library in Hamburg) may not be in the Federal archives. Many lists were
just plain lost.

Thanks, Barbara, I'm pressing on. Best, Newton
