Can you help me?

I have a problem; can you suggest anything to address it?

My ancestor Albert RIPPE, born 1804 in the village of Wechold, near
Hoya, in the Kingdom of Hannover, immigrated to America on the Oldenburg
bark "Texas" from Bremerhaven (or, possibly, Bremen) arriving in
Galveston on 18 Dec 1853, with 9 other persons in his party, none of
which are named.

I very much want to know the names of the 9 people.

As background, this passenger list, with a number of others, was
published in a German newspaper "Allgemeine Auswanderer Zeitung" in
February 1855. A note on the passenger lists states that Eva LEMBCKE, a
librarian in the Chamber of Commerce Library in Hamburg found the
lists. The lists she found are included in a book compiled by Albert J.
BLAHA, Sr., of Houston, Texas. On my copy, neither the date of Ms.
LEMBCKE's work or Mr. BLAHA's book is dated. Do you have any
information on them. This passenger list also appears in the 1970 book
by Mr. and Mrs. Geue entitled "New Homes in a New Land", but also omits
the names of the 9 people.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions or comments.

That record says the book was published in 1985. There are about 8 or 9
Albert Blaha names on questdex.

There is one in Texas--the book record says that it was published in
Houston. You could call him or any of the other Blahas there.

Hi Barbara,

Unfortunately, the Mr. Blaha in Texas is not kin and doesn't know the gentleman
who compiled the book. Hopefully, I can contact Ms. Lembcke tomorrow. Thanks
very much.
