There are a couple entries on baptism records I have questions on and wonder if anyone here can read old German Script?
The first one is here on Ancestry. It is the second from the bottom ...the one that starts with 31 Oct. It is a record for my great Aunt Amanda Krüger. It looks like her given name was Amanda Wilhelmina but I can't read the 3rd name. I would also like to figure out who the god parents were in that last column.

The second one is also on Ancestry. It is the 8th from the bottom....the one that starts with 17. It is a record for my grandfather Friedrich Wilhelm Christian Krüger. I would like help figuring out who is listed as godparents in the last column. I think I see two with the surname Kuhlow....possibly Fried Kuhlow and Frau Mina Kuhlow? I can't figure out the last one.

The first one looks like Olofina,
the second the witnesses are Frau Kuhlow, Frau Mina Kuhlow and Chr. Schmidt.
For the first one:
I read the third name as Olofina. An odd name, but I do run into male names turned into female names from time to time that seem odd to our ears. Olof is a common male name. As for the godparents, I read Minna Kirks or Kerks, Auguste Kuhlow, Ad.(perhaps for Adolf) Krüger
For the second one:
The godparents are Fr[au] Kuhlow, Frau Minna Kuhlow, Herr Schmit or Schenit
Michael Preiss
San Francisco
On the first one.............Amanda's third name is ''Olafina"............the female version of Olaf.......a name usually associated with Sweden or Netherlands.
Thanks. Would "Olofina" have been a normal name? I've never heard that one before.
In the first record, can you tell who the 3 godparents were? I think the middle one was Augusta Kuhlow.
best wishes, Pam
Thanks. Frau Mina Kuhlow would have been the child's maternal grandmother. I'm not sure who the Frau Kuhlow could have been as there would have been several Kuhlow aunts. It could have been a maternal great grandmother too.
With the last godparent, could that read Chr Schnaidt? rather than Chr Schmidt?
Thanks, Pam
