On the 1867 Census there is an entry for Otto BUSING born Rostock 1837.
Wife Emile aged 29
Children Gertrude3, Elizabeth 1, Otto 0
I understand this man went on to be a Lawyer and a Policitican.
His date of Birth is similar to an Ancestor of mine Carl b1839 Rostock.
Is anyone researching this family, or is able to advise me, who his parents were, and what happen to him,
This might be a very valuable lead for me.
I reside in NEW ZEALAND so I need help with this enquiry.

I don't research these names, but I've taken a look into the B�rgerbuch (book of citizens?) of Rostock.
It says Otto Heinrich Johann B�sing, Advokat (laywer) became citizen in Jan 1863
and was born in Schwerin 28.3.1837.
The other B�sings I found are

Carl Johann Georg B�sing, Reifergeselle,14.10.1838
May 1865
Bernhard Johann Fritz B�sing, Schiffszimmergeselle, 2.3.1840
16.2.1838
Georg Carl Friedrich B�sing, Arbeitsmann, 15.10.1812
All three were born in Rostock-St.Johannes (St.John church). If Carl is your ancestor I would say Otto is not related, but Bernhard could be his brother and Georg his father. But the truth is up to church records.
