My ggrandfather JULIUS WILHELM BURGDORF was born in Hildesheim in Hanover about 1825. He emigrated to New Orleans, La. USA in 1860. I am looking for any family of this person. I have loads of genealogy records of his family in the USA.

are you sure he was born exactly in Hildesheim or could it have been in that area, because the name is very popular even today southeast of Hildesheim, but if you have the birth certificate, you might go from there.
