Burgdorf

Hans Peters
I am so sorry I mislead you. First I failed to say that the baptismal informantion came from the First German Protestant Church of New Orleans, La. Herman Perpeet was the pastor at that church. His origin may be important to my search but I have never considered it so.
Secondly, I mispelled Maria Kirschbein's name. It is correctly spelled Kirschbein, as on her Royal Prussian Passport. Her full name was Therese Marie Kirschbein. I am about as positive as I can be since all the data was taken from the passport.. Try as I might I cannot find marriage confirmation in New Orleans records, only the births of their children and the deaths of Julius amd Marie.
You are right, using a professional researcher can be expensive. It would have been worth it had I had positive results but that was not the case.
I will be in Hildesheim for one day only, May 2 and would have only that time to pursue one lead. I have been researching both Burgdorf and Dauenhauer (my mother's family) and since I had such great success with Dauenhauer I will also be going to Dahn to see that family. I am travelling with my daughter and will stay in Hildesheim 2 nights. Then we will tour the Romantic Road before going to Dahn.
I look forward with great anticipation to visiting Germany and meeting family. Only wish I had more definitive information re the Burgdorfs.
Many thanks for all the help I have recieved from list members.
Max
