Bob, thank you for your response but I am afraid he is not in the Burgdorf family I am seeking. Coincidentally, I live in St. Louis but was born and spent the first 38 years of my life in New Orleans. I have found all the descendants of Julius Burgdorf in the US and am now looking in the area of Germany he listed as his birthplace, Hildesheim in Hanover.
