Subject: Re: [HN] Bunger family in Hannover areaHi Janis,
Keep in mind that it was not unusual for first cousins to marry. Their
fathers
may have been brothers.
Bobbi
Thank you again for this wonderful information. As I do not read the
German
language except for what I can interpret from an old German-English
dictionary, I would like to be sure that I am interpreting the information
correctly.
Please tell me if I am correct.Eltern: this is "parents", so the father of Gerhard Friederich Bnger
was
Hauswirt Cord Hinrich Bnger who was born with the surname Krieger in
Marl?
And his mother was Sophie Margarethe born with the surname
Bnger....this
is a
little confusing to me, did the husband sometimes take the wife's
surname?
The parents of Wilhelmine Wulf were Hauswirt Hermann Friedrich Wulf from
Hde and Sophie Charlotte who was born with the surname Fischvogt? What does the notation "1860 Dragoner" mean?
I hope that I am translating correctly.

have
not previously found any information on my great-great grandparents
families. Can you tell me the source of this marriage data?

Betreff: [HN] Bunger family in Hannover areaI am looking for any information about the marriage date and location,
the
parents and siblings for my great-great grandparents. I do not know
what
records are available or how to access them. I have also been unable
to
locate
their immigration records to the United States. I do know that they
arrivedbetween 1864 and 1865. The church records in the USA give some
information
on
where they lived in Germany based on where their children were born.
Thereare some discrepancies in how the German locations are named, but do
list
aparish of Burlage or Buerlager, in Bemfords, Hannover. Any help will be
greatly
appreciated..Their names and birth information -
