Buehne Family of Hannover?

My ancestors moved to the USA in the mid-1800s
settling in Indiana and Illinois. Their names were
Buehne/Boehne, and some were definitely from Ankum. I
am wondering if we have any family still there, or if
there is a genealogy site specific to this area for
birth, marriage, land ownership, etc.? If genealogy
books or local photography/history books are available

Jane there are a lot of B�HNE/BOHNE in Osnabruck
Staasarchives. Ankum is 22.3 miles north of Osnabruck
City. What are some first names of your ancestors?

Hello Jane,

      Are you aware that the Mormans have microfilm of Church records for
Ankum, both Evangelical and Catholic, for the 1800's. There are also tax
records that have been filmed. If you are near an LDS center, you can order
the films and view them there.

     The German telephone book lists 2 names for Bühne in Ankum:

        Bühne Hermann Bauer (0 54 62) 3 80
             49577 Ankum, Rüssel 4
        Bühne Paul (0 54 62) 7 11 46
            49577 Ankum, Walsum 19
