Buch über Prussia

Bernhard, I have a book "The End of Prussia," but haven't read it yet. It is by Gordon Craig, Prof. at Stanford. It is a lecture series given at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focussing on the early ideas of Freiherr Karl Friedrich v. Stein - bis Adenauer. . It was published in 1984. It is small (102 pages) and I could send it to your friend. Of course, this is more a background to what he really wants to know. Has he looked at <www. amazone.com>? Or any university with a German department should have such infos. If he'd like me to ask here at Cornell Univeristy, I'd be happy to! Sigrid

Hier sein Wunsch:

Do you know of any German historians, journalists, or writers of
historically authentic fiction who have written about living conditions in
the East Prussian region of Europe during World War II (1939-45)? I am
looking for such literature. Of course, it would need to have been
translated into English.
