Fremantlatle Margaret Bruse, relic of the late Marcus Henry Bruse, late of Burra Burra, South Australia, and beloved mother of Mrs. G. Anderson, Mr. F. A. Bruse, and Mr. A. Bruse, of W.A. leaving four sons and three daughters, 2 grand children. and one great grandchild, a colonist of 58 years. Deeply regretted. (The West Australian Tuesday 3th December 1912 page 1)

Obituary:
Mrs. Margaret Bruse, relict of the late Mr. Marcus Henry Bruse, and a resident of Australia for the last 58 years, died at the residence of her son-in-law. Mr. Geo. Anderson, Forest-street, Fremantle, on the 2nd inst., in her 76th year. The deceased, who was born in Cornwall. arrived in South Australia in 1854, and proceeded to the Burra, where she lived for 56 years.
The last two yeas having been spent in Fremantle, Western Australia. She leaves four sons, three daughters, 22 grandchildren. and a great grandchild. She was very highly respected. The funeral cortege moved from the above address on Tuesday afternoon, and proceeded to the Wesleyan Cemetery, Fremantle. where the Rev. C. A. Jenkins officiated. The chief mourners were Mrs. G. Anderson (daughter). Mr. A. Bruse (son). Mr. G. Anderson (son in-law), Mr. Alec. Anderson (grandson). the Misses Marjory. Jessie. and Thelma Anderson (granddaughters). Mr. A. W. Richardson, Mrs. D. Anderson, Mr. J. Bridge. and Mrs. Whitburn. The pall-bearers were Messrs. T. S. Waugh, G. P. Smart. E. Phillips, and W. Brisbane. Amongst the wreaths was one from the Fremantle Municipal Tram ways employees. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Arthur E. Davies and Co.
