He was born 5/6/1825 possible in Rottinghausen, Germany in the old Duchy of Oldenburg Northwestern Germany, near the town of Damme, Germany region today is Niedersachen. Emigrated in June 1849 from Port of Rotterdam to Port of Baltimore, MA, U.S.A.
