The Hall's said they were from Pomerania. They came to the uSA in 1871 from
Ballin in strelitz, Mecklenberg. Do you see any connections here?

Could it be that there is any possibility to enter into connection with this
Brede family, who came to the USA in 1871 from Mecklenberg, to ask for
letters, which they might send to Germany. If yes I'd be glad about some forward
