Thanks Barbara,
I have a feeling with a German accent Bassum could be mistaken for
Bossum. Would you agree?? I find Bassum below and near Bremen, would that
have been in Hannover kingdom in the early 1800's? Do you know if Bassum
has evangelical church records? Thanks Bob

Hello Bob,
Here is the site for the Bassum Evangelical church:
http://www.kirche-bassum.de/
There is a nice website. It appears that you can ask questions.
There is an email site near the top of the page. The LDS do not have records
for Bassum.
Good luck!
Barbara
Thanks Barbara,

Haven't looked at the scribe but also I think H's often look like B;s.
Warmest Regards,

Dear Bob,
The BASSUM vital records
do not list
>>>Henry William Meyer<<<<
born 3 Aug 1843 at Bossum Hannover.
The record here states his

The Bassum Protestant (evangelic lutheran)
vital records have been searched -
no such person at that time
yes this place was Hannover, just south of Bremen etc.
Have you had BASSEN checked, lutheran parish ACHIM ???
it is also to be found near Bremen, but east of Bremen
