Borchers

Any information or suggestions regarding a Conrad BORCHERS would be very much appreciated.

Conrad is listed in the 1860 USA census as living in the area of Cole Camp, Missouri (Benton County). He was 28 years old and his wife, Catharina (as written in the census book) was 25. They had two children, a daughter, Anna, 3 years of age and a son, Henry (or Hinnrich/Heinrich) 6 months old.

Even though the Borchers family in this area was quite large none of them have any information on Conrad. We are interested from the standpoint of local history because he was noted by a Katrina Harms in a diary of early recollections of the area as Conrad, a cousin, was buried in the first village cemetery, ca. 1840. This would have meant he would have died before 1880. For a memorial and local history we are seeking information on persons buried in this cemetery.
