Book on Ostheide that has Thomasburg, Wennekath,Suttorf etc

I was reading some of my old list letters and I saw a book mentioned about the area of Ostheide in regards to My Meyer and Radenbeck. It was said that it was a newer book. So I decided to look into it. I filled out the form and thought it had not gone through. Lo and behold a few days before christmas it arrived. I had already gotten the information I needed from Herr Albers about my Meyer. I had a nagging interest about some information about water rights and von Estorff and many property owners of Radenbeck area that I had read at AIDA. I think Neetze. I had seen the list of property owners at AIDA. website. [ I think it is down right now. Or at least I cannnot access it]

Naturally it is all in german. I am thinking I can scan it and somehow have it on internet and then use the translator to read that page by page. or I can type it and scan that and read it. I will have to set my laptop to umlauts.[ Something I had been meaning to figure out how to do again} Mostly though, One can make out a lot of the lists. If anyone has an interest in this area, I can look at many pages and tell you if the name is in there. I may copy what I see. I could not tell you much else. I have to ask my son how to get it from scanner program to internet......

The authors are von Enzberg and Dietmar Gehrke. It did not cost very much.
They start at the earliest primitive age and go up in time. My Meyer was a shepherd and not a landowner. So He is not listed. I have been curious about various surnames that have come from that area.

In particular Runde and Sommer,Schroder. I do think it may have similar names that is in Hch. Porths new book. I did see von der ohe and Otte. Those areas and names that I had an interest.

I had been so busy with christmas. I have to spend five hours at clinic tommorrow. I suppose I will get much browsing finnished. I am looking forward to reading it.

So email me if interested in the little I can help. Or any suggestions. you care to give me. Or tell me how it helped you if you have a copy.
Also I received an inclosed business letter which may be a bill or a statement. [ smile] I don't know?[ smile again] However, I am going check some old emails for my reminders of my transaction and then send along my payment anyway.

They have included a few pictures of some old buildings. the Thomasburg church. A wassermuhle.
I have not heard from the Thomasburg church. I am thinking maybe they did not receive the letter. I suppose a second letter with a different heading may be in order. Perhaps I should include my email address this time.? As I write the letter I will feel a little smarter.
Happy Holidays to you all.
Jo Meyer

My name is Gerald Nailey and am working on the Schroeder family history. My mother was a Schroeder and her father came from Hannover, Germany about 1879 time frame. His name was Fred Schroeder and his brother Wilhelm Schroder came about the same time and lived in the Fountain area of SE Minnesota. Note the different spelling of Schroeder. Their mother was a meyer. Any help on these brothers? Thanks for your help. Gerry
