Dear Group,
Excuse me for writing in English, but my German language might offend you,
so this looked like a more neutral way of conversation. Since years, I've
been looking for my German ancestors who came to Amsterdam around 1780. Then
a family-member recalled a research from a relative, back in 1935 and he
sent me the results last week.
This is his information:
Marriage-announcement of J.C.Bon and Mattelena Meins in Amsterdam
Jan Cornelis was from Tettens (or Dettens) in Ost Friesland. On his
birth-certificate his father is stated: Bunn, Cornelius (Beruf und Wohnort
ncht angegeben), Mutter Christina von Essen (Eszen).
The father is mentioned in the wedding registry of the Ev.Luth.Gemeinde in
Blexen, Jahrgang 1729, as follows: Cornelius Bunnen, Trautag 21 Juni 1729,
Vater Bunnen, Hajo, Wohnort Widders (verstorben, sonst nichts angegeben).
Braut Christina von Eshen, Vater Johann von Eshen, Wohnort Tettens,
verstorben.
These family-members are my old grandparents!
Does anyone have information in official registrations that might prove that
this information is right? Do you have any information about Bunnen, Bunn,
von Essen?
I'm very eager to learn from you! Thanks in advance,
Gerrit Bon.
