I am trying to trace the ancestry of the Bolus family who owned a farm near the village of Bastental, Goldap, East Prussia for many generations prior to 1945.In the 1920's and up till 1945 the farm would have been owned by
Albert and Gertrud Bolus; they had 5 children, including Martin Bolus , the youngest( born 11 May 1931). He attended the Kant School in Goldap from 1940.Of course, after 1945 the farm was lost and the family scattered. But I am looking for ancestors of this family at any time from 1700 until 1945; any memories of Bastental, Goldap ; perhaps children who might have attended the Kant School at about the same time; photographs of the town; anything that might help my research into the Bolus family of East Prussia.
