However, if you run the search in the Osnabrück with the umlaut which would
be Böhne, you come up with almost 40 other names! That is what makes it so
hard to choose which persons are the right family.

Barbara

Luckily she had the names of the towns and none of the BHNE'S were in the range 26988 thru 27693 which is Ostercappeln-Arenshorst.

Bill,

That's true, but the names don't seem to match, do they? That is why I
myself would not try to get those records, unless it's a true match.
By the way, the LDS have records for both Achim and Arenshorst (not
sure if it is the right one). That would be easier if one has access to a
LDS center. Or write to the church as Hans Peter suggested.

Barbara

Hi Barbera,
Yes your right if the names don't match I wouldn't order the records.
As for the LDS they are the greatest source for info but they want paid up front and I don't like paying and then get something that isn't worth it. Which has happened to me.
I live in a small town in the boondocks but someone living near a good library might have access to LDS on loan to the library.
I don't like writing and waiting for a reply asking for more info and writing again or I would write to the church as Hans Peter suggested.
