Bode, Wolper, and Stivarius families

I am researching German ancestors who came from the area of Northeim, Hanover, Germany. Charles F. Bode born in 1810 married Sophia Caroline Wolper/Wolfer in Germany, had several children, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1848. Sophia was confirmed at the Northeim Lutheran Church in 1826. Her parents were William Frederick and Johanna Wolper. Would this church still be present and contain these type of records? Does anyone know if Bode is a common name in Hanover or is the spelling different? I also see Hanover spelled with one n or two n's. Are they both correct?

I don't know if this is the correct place for the next query as I don't know exactly where in Germany these areas are, but it seemed they were near Hanover.
My Stivarius ancestors were from the Cappel Lippi, Detruchet area, Lieme, Hillentrup, Sonneborn areas. Several were pastors ie. Kasper Stivarius was pastor to Alverdissen, but had begun as a Father in the cloister Falkenhagen until 1599.
My ggrandfather was Carl Wilhelm Stivarius son of Simon Franz and Sophia Leue Stivarius. He was born @1831 in Cappel Lippi.
Replies and information on resources will be appreciated.

Welcome to the list
and some informations about the nowadays churches. If they have their parish-
books, they will answer:

Evangelische Kirche Northeim (Lutheran)
Teichstr.58
37154 Northeim
Tel. 05551-67184

Katholische Kirchengemeinde St.Marien (Catholic)
Bahnhofstr. 26
37154 Northeim
Tel.05551/1330

I gave you also the Catholic one, because you wrote of a priest in a cloister,
that seems to be an catholic institution in general.

There are 28 Bode, 3 Wolper and no Wolfer in Northeim in the telefone-book of
1995, Bode is a not to seldom name in the whole country. Han(n)over is with "nn"
german writing with "n" the English translation.

Almost all your places have become part of other places as follows with postcode-
nrs. The area seems to be nearby the rver Lippe, to which referes your "Lippi" in
a somehow Latin spelling, I couldnt find a meaning for Cappel or Detruchet, but:

Hillentrup = 32694 Drentrup, Lieme = 32657 Lemgo, Alverdissen = 32683 Barntrup,
Falkenhagen(Lippe) = 32676 Lgde, Sonneborn (Lippe) = 32683 Barntrup

My ggrandfather was Carl Wilhelm Stivarius son of Simon Franz and Sophia Leue
Stivarius. He was born @1831 in Cappel Lippi.
