Hallo List Friends,

My ancestor Ludwig Kemmerling was listed in a Dusseldorf Address book of
1890 something as a Kutscher u HAUBERER.. Can anyone tell me hat a Hauberer
is? I tried a translation but it must be an old word no longer in use.

Also... Looking for information on the birth of a Maria Catharina VOLLBACH
born about 1830 - 1840 in or near Hitdorf by Leverkusen... at least that is
where she married a Friederich Heinrich KROLL in 1861. ten years later she
was a widow and married my grt grt grandfather Ludwig Kemmerling mentioned
above.

Dear Mr. Jones,

a hauderer is an "Fuhrmamn". The hauderer transported things with an carriage with horses.

the proper spelling is HAUDERER. A Hauderer was an owner of a (horse drawn) haulage company. The word is not in use nowadays.
