Birth Certificate

Hello to everyone

I'm searchig for my GGgrandfather birth place. His name was Hans Steffen (or Hans Hinrich Steffen); he was born in January 20th 1834, in Wulfsdorf; in the 1835 census Vz, I found this information:

County - Oldenburger Guterdistrikt
Parish - Weissenhaus
Place name - Dorf Wasbock, Adeliches Guth Weissenhaus
Adress - Kathengebaude
Household/Family no 52 F94
Census Year - Vz-1835

Johann Nicolaus Steffen, 33 years old, Verheir, Arbeitsmann
Friedericke Rufer, 21 years old, Verheir
HANS HINRICH STEFFEN, 1 year old, Unverheir

PS - 1845, according to Archiv der Hansestadt Lubeck; Statistisches Landesamt: Zahllisten der Volkszahlung; Band 5. Landwehr-Bezirk Muhlenthor, 3-5. Compagnie; Hans Hinrich Steffen was 11 years old

I also found the list of emigrants of the Hamburg port - Staatsarchiv Hamburg, Register zu den Ausw.Listen VIII A2 Bd 1: May 29th? 1856, Johanna Elisabeth boat, heading to Santos, STEFFEN, HANS 347

I wonder if this information is ok and the possibility/procedures to get Hans Hinrich Steffen birth certificate.
I accept/agree to pay for eventually costs that this service may require.

Thank you very much

Alfredo Steffen

Alfredo,
there were no birth certificates back in the 1830s. The only records
are in the church books.
Fred

It is possible that you are in the wrong Oldenburg. The places you name sound much like Oldenburg in Holstein.
