Hello Yasmin, (and thank you to Katharina and Trent for the translation
of Yasmin's msg. Perhaps she will need your help with my reply
I found the following baptismal record in the Klein Jerutten Parish
records (Kreis Ortelsbug):
BIENK Jacob born 06 Aug 1862 Alt Keykutt Father: Johann Bienk
Mother: Wilhelmine Kulik Witnesses: Chrystian Kompa, Louise Kompa,
Michael Kompa
You may already be aware that the Klein Jerutten Parish records are
available on the internet at
www.wasatch.com/~rdemanow/jerutten/deutsch.html (and this is in German
too). There is also a microfilmed book called the Klein Jerutten Chronik
referred to on that site. Look for it on the LDS internet site card
catalog by doing an AUTHOR search (my compact disc version has this
option) and type in DEMANOWSKI . I have tried for almost a year to make
contact with the source listed on the website to no avail to obtain a
copy.
There do not appear to be records available in the right timeframe to
capture the marriage or deaths of Johann or Wilhelmine. However, here
are entries for other children by the couple:
Marie born Sept 22, 1868
Michael born May 18, 1860
Lotte June 3, 1865
I have also found the GeAGNO website and it's webmaster Martin Jend to
be very helpful. They are dedicated to ongoing Kreis Ortelsburg
research, and Martin had records for some of my ancestors that went
beyond the Klein Jerutten records available on the internet.
I have many ancestors from Kreis Ortelsburg. In fact one of them is
Adam LADA and he married a Louisa BIENK on May 7, 1835! I hope some of
this is new information for you and that you find it helpful. I would
be very happy to hear from you if you have other resources for research
in that area that you can share.
Best Regards,
Lisa Cooke
