Bernhard h. klattenhoff

I am searching for information on the KLATTENHOFF family of Bernhard H.
Klattenhoff who was born in Kuehling, Oldenburg, Germany, on April 6, 1829, to
Johann Klattenhoff, a wagon maker in Kuelhing or Kuehlingen, Oldenburg. He was
one of a family of five sons and a daughter. He and his eldest brother,
Heinrich, along with several neighbors, set out to go to Australia to search for
gold in January, 1859, and were shipwrecked in the Irish Sea. Heinrich
drowned, but Bernhard survived. Bernhard married Meta Havemann, November 6, 1857.
They had three children born in Germany: Heinrich on September 18, 1859, in
Kuelingen; Bertha born in 1858; and Johann born February 4, 1870. In the spring
of 1871, the family came to America.
