Dear List--
I have a postcard showing my grandfather's brother, Erich Berger in uniform,
which has a sign stating: "Erinnerung vom Truppen-Ubungsplatz Munster 1908"
Is there a web site which might have his records? What kind of military
service would be required by a young man at this time in history? The family
lived in the Holzminden area and my grandfather came to the USA (New York City) on
business (they were in the knitting business).
