I'm looking for verification that my great grandfather was born in Oldenburg. His obituary says he came from Oldenburg. I don't know if that is the town or state.
August Baumann was born on 1 Nov 1842. His parents were Joseph Baumann and Marie/Maria Bund/Bunde.
He came to America in 1860 at the age of 18.
If anyone can identify with the above information, I would greatly appreciate it.
