Baum family - Kirchbrak, Brietenkamp, Halle and Northeim

Dear Fellow Listers,

I am looking for any information to assist with completing
my Fathers side of my family tree.

My Grandfather lived with His family in Brietenkamp and
Kirchbrak during 1965-1972, and he also had a business in
Northeim ( possibly in the textile industry prior to 1955).
My Father, Manfred Werner Baum is the
younger of 2 sons, Diethelm Baum being his older brother.

Any information is welcome, as I have no other information
at this
time.

Hello Patrick,

     The name is spelled Breitenkamp. The LDS (Mormans) have this:

Ortssippenbuch, 1641-1814, der Kirchspiels Kirchbrak : mit Kirchbrak,
Westerbrak, Buchhagen, Breitenkamp, Heinrichshagen

     Unfortunately, that book has not been put on microfilm. You'd have to
go to Salt Lake City to view it or maybe buy it somewhere. However, it
would not list the years of your grandfather's life.
