Hello Walter,
You answered a question for us last year about Maria Elisabeth Friling. She was born Nov. 21, 1765 to Johan Henrich Friling & Anna Maria Klone (m. July 6, 1762) We are now trying to identify her father's family. We have looked at the Latter Day Saints Church film but it is difficult to read due to tight binding ---sometimes part of the parents names are incomplete and on the opposite page names of witnesses are incomplete. We have found 7 children born to Joannes Herman Friling and Anna Catherina Rosenbaum. Five of them seem to be witnesses at their siblings church events; For example:
1) Johan Henrich Friling (b. May 3, 1734): witness at the 1771 christening of the child of Maria Agnes Friling and Carolus Hoping.
2) Herman Henrick Friling (b. June 27, 1745): witness at the 1769 christening of the child of Henrich Friling and Anna Maria Klone. Also witness at the 1785 christening of the child of Maria Agnes Friling and Carolus Hoping.
3) Cath. Elisabetha Friling (b. March 11,1737) (married Jacob Tegenkamp in 1737): witness at the 1765 christening of the child of Henrich Friling and Anna Maria Klone.
4) Maria Agnes Friling (b. Nov. 11, 1742) (married Carolus Hoping in 1768): Carolus was a witness at the 1773 christening of the child of Henrich Friling and Anna Maria Klone.
5) Anna Maria Friling (b. March 7, 1729) (married Joes. Henricus Schweinfues in 1750) : witness at the 1772 christening of the child of Henrich Friling and Anna Maria Klone.
From the above information is it logical to conclude that Johann Henrich Friling's parents were Joannes Herman Friling and Anna Catharina Rosenbaum?
