I am trying to find the parish chruches where my ancestors's
records might be kept. According to the information I have,
they were members of the German Lutheran Church. One part
of my family lived in Wiefels, Oldenburg and another part
lived in Wehlens. Can someone help me by telling me in
which parish church I should look for records of my
ancestors? The migrated to the USA in 1883 and in 1893.

Wiefels is an own parish, Wehlens belongs to the parish of Hohenkirchen.

Can anyone tell me what other names STARKER could be translated into German?? I am looking for information on Henry STARKER, and I know that he came over to America from Germany in 1856. But I can find no iformation on a STARKER from Germany... so I am assuming that the name spelling was altered/changed. Can anyone help me figure this out??
