AW: Krueger name?

Yes, I realize Krueger is a common surname. All I have to go on is that I know the birthday and year, and that they are from Mecklenburg, and that they immigrated to Detroit by at latest 1877. I was hoping that there would be records kept that could be searched according to birthday and name.

Another thing I was hoping would be to find someone who has also been looking for Krueger relatives so that we could compare information and perhaps find a source on Kruegers.

Sorry if I sound naive. I have just started searching and getting familiar with things. I don't even know how big Mecklenburg is, or if they have records kept in a central location.

Without knowing where they came from in Mecklenburg, you are not likely to
make much progress. The only records that might include date of birth
would be baptism records, and to access these you would need to know
the particular parish. Have you tried looking for church records in
Detroit? Some German speaking churches included the towns or villages
people came from
