Aw: geneker / wiggers

Peter,
Thank you so much for your reply. Another researcher also replied
unfortunately I lost his message while cleaning up my files. Peter I did
receive yours.

I am at a loss right now to answer you since I have been working on several
other projects and bookkeeping and put my film copies away. I will get them
out and give you the dates in this page of film.

My cousin was kind enough to send me copies as she located the microfilms
from the church books in Rehna. We are Lutheran and all generations back to
the 1600s lived in Wolschendorf, if that is any help. The records of baptism
showing Elisabeth Wiggers as the mother and all of her children's names are
in these microfilms.

After my great-grandfather Hans Heinrich Runge married Engel Elisabeth
Kroeger they moved to Breutschov, where my grandfather Joachim Heinrich Runge
was born. They came to America in 1879. At some time all the family (aunts,
uncles, and cousins) also came. Consequently, we have many pages going back
to our great-grandparents. Catherine Gustaevel Runge came as did her family
and her daughter's family Katherine Runge Gravesmuehl. All but 2 of Eliza
Kroeger Runge's family came.

For ancestors prior to that my cousin, a direct descendent of Katherine
Gravesmuehl, has researched in the church books at Rehna. She has copied the
films she found.

When I get out the microfilms I have, I will send you Elisabeth Wiggers
husband's name and the dates of her children's births. My cousin did not
give me the marriage records for these earlier grandparents. I am almost
positive that they were living in Wolschendorf, Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

To the other researcher that answered me I would like to say I have been
getting letters from Wolfgang Runge in Germany about his family. We have not
found a connection with mine at this time.

Thank you both again. Perhaps we can locate a connection here between the
Wiggers that I saw on the film and your family.

God Bless You,
Dolly
