I am wondering if the is a key available. Or is there a good genealogy book with both German and English common words.

I enclose a email of Eva Holtkamp which I got from the Westfalia list. There you find some of the common words. I hope it helps.

Hello, Jim, the Family History Library has wordlists that are amongst their
publications on their website which is www.familysearch.org . Then use the
library tab, education, then publications, wordlists. These can be
downloaded and printed if you like.
